Sexual Health Counselling, Online Across Alberta

If you’ve been carrying a question about your sexuality that you’ve never said out loud to a partner, a friend, or even yourself — you’re exactly who this practice is for.

A sex-positive practice means one thing: no judgment
Sex-positive, to me, means looking at everything through one lens: is it healthy? Not “is it normal,” not “is it what everyone else does” what I want to get to the root of is – is it healthy, and is it working for you? Once you take away the shame and judgment, a “problem” stops being good or bad. It just becomes something we can look at honestly and work through, piece by piece.

What we work on together

Desire, arousal & response

low or mismatched desire, difficulty becoming aroused, trouble reaching orgasm, performance anxiety, and erectile or ejaculation concerns

Sexual pain & physical concerns

painful intercourse, vaginismus, vulvodynia, pelvic-floor concerns, endometriosis, and pain, fear, or avoidance after difficult experiences

Body image, shame & confidence

negative body image, shame around sex, desire, fantasies, or masturbation, and the lingering effects of upbringing, religion, or cultural messaging

Sexual identity

exploring who you are, including LGBTQIA2S+-affirming support, without needing anyone’s approval to get there

Kink, fetishes & non-monogamy

I’m affirming of kink, consensual non-monogamy, and diverse expressions of sexuality, full stop; support with opening a relationship, agreements and boundaries, jealousy, and kink-aware, BDSM-affirming counselling. Same lens throughout: is it healthy, is it working for you.

Shame and stigma

most of what feels “shameful” was handed down by family, culture, or upbringing, not chosen. We separate what’s actually unhealthy from what you were just taught to fear.

Rebuilding after betrayal or trauma

reconnecting with your body, your desire, and your relationships on your own terms

Sexuality through life changes

shifts in desire or intimacy after pregnancy, fertility treatment, menopause, illness, surgery, chronic illness, disability, aging, or grief

Why this work matters to me

I care about sexual health because I know what it’s like to spend decades thinking something about you is broken, simply because no one around you ever said otherwise. Read more about my story.

Experience you can trust

Formal sex-therapy training is still catching up to where this field needs to be — I take every good course I can find and keep learning. But just as much of what I bring comes from real client work, real relationships, and years of paying attention to what helps people versus what just sounds good on paper.

FAQs

Why are you especially passionate about sexual health and relationships?

I carry my own history of trauma, and for a long time I didn’t know how to heal from it or build the kind of healthy relationship I wanted for myself. There was no Google back then, and sex therapy wasn’t something I’d ever heard of — let alone something I could afford. That gap is exactly why I do this work now. I set out to help others avoid spending decades figuring it out the hard way, the way I did. I’d also had questions about sexuality for as long as I can remember that I could never voice in my very conservative family, and I spent years assuming something was wrong with me. That’s a big part of why I love talking about anything considered “taboo” — I know what it’s like to carry it alone.

What does "sex-positive" mean within your practice?

To me, sex-positive means no judgment — everything gets looked at through one question: is it healthy? When you evaluate that way, a “problem” stops being good or bad. It becomes something we can break down and understand, piece by piece, based on what works for you. That takes a lot of the shame and judgment out of the conversation.

Are you affirming of kink, consensual non-monogamy, and diverse expressions of sexuality?

Absolutely — same lens as everything else: is it healthy, and is it working for you in a healthy way?

What specialized training have you completed in sexual health and couples therapy?

Formal training in sex therapy is still catching up to where this field needs to be, so I take every good course I can find and keep learning as better education becomes available. Just as much of what I bring comes from real client work, real relationships, and years of paying attention to what helps — and what doesn’t.

Do you offer direct billing or provide receipts for insurance?

I don’t direct bill, but I do provide receipts for insurance reimbursement, and I’m happy to work with you on timing if you need it.
